Slowdown of profit growth in third quarter
Press release 25 October 2007
KAS BANK closed the third quarter of 2007 with an anticipated slowdown in the increase of profits compared to the first half year, as a result of fluctuating volumes and a limited increase of costs.
Traditionally, the third quarter is also sensitive to seasonal influences. The increase of costs is primarily the result of investments in MiFID, ESES and overall improvement of the quality of KAS BANK’s services.
As announced earlier, KAS BANK is only marginally affected by the current turmoil in the financial markets.
For the whole of 2007 KAS BANK maintains its expectation that, without the special items during the first half of 2007 and in the absence of any special circumstances, profits will show a healthy increase compared to 2006.
